Elementary and middle school educators will learn how to navigate both historical and present circumstances to more intentionally develop their teacher agency, placing students at the center of instructional decision-making. They will explore research-based instructional practices, tenets of curriculum design, and responsive strategies to revise learning experiences in accordance to their students’ needs. Notably, this course is underscored by the inextricable connections between joy, learning in and of itself, human development, and changed outcomes within the context of schooling.
